Before: Missing trim in a tricky two-door corner.
After: Trim installed with beautiful craftsmanship & ready to paint.
New oak trim was cut, stained, and installed in a hallway and around a closet door.
After a new vent was installed for this homeowner by a separate HVAC contractor, a standard vent cover would not fit. A custom-cut vent cover was added, with trim adjustments to fit.
New stairs to step down from a back patio door were custom-designed using CAD, constructed using high-quality, durable, low-maintenance materials, and installed.
The stairs are designed to age with the homeowners and their guests, with a wide-width footprint and railings on both sides able to support elderly or disabled users.
Mounted a large TV and sound bar onto a brick fireplace, using a MantleMount adjustable/pull-down mount, custom mounting board fabrication and installation directly into brick, and a custom cord hide/management system.
A unique low-depth curtain rod with custom-length curtains were installed in an area with less than 4" depth clearance to the cabinet doors to the left. Most curtain rods require 5"+ of depth clearance.
After installation of the only low-depth rod available on the internet, the homeowner was unsatisfied with how "sticky" the factory rollers that came with the rod performed. Custom polycarbonate and stainless steel bearing-based roller hooks were designed in CAD and fabricated, which improved upon the factory open/close mechanism's movement significantly. Now it glides!
Bespoke stained and perfectly-sized wall hooks were designed, constructed, and installed, to exactly fit the space and hook count needs of the family. Wooden panel was mounted solidly into 3 studs with holes filled for exquisite looks, to accommodate heavy backpacks and bags, coats, or rambunctious children pulling down without failure.
Custom shelving and a storage basket & hooks were measured, cut, and installed directly into wall studs inside a broom closet, according to the homeowner's needs. Because direct stud mounting was used for all connections (NOT wall anchors!), these shelves will hold the weight of bulk liquid cleaning supplies for decades to come.
Bedroom closet shelving and hanging bars were measured, cut, and installed directly into studs, capable of supporting not only the weight of clothing and storage, but also the possibility of a rambunctious child hanging on the bar. Family safety is a priority.
New LVP flooring replaced worn-down carpet tiles, and new trim was installed in this homeowner's beautiful new breezeway. As always, care was given to follow the flooring manufacturer's guidelines for wall spacing, to allow for plenty of expansion and contraction without buckling.
3 Ring cameras were installed into existing wiring for this homeowner following a burglary. The doorbell was installed as a hardwired doorbell, which required removal of interior door trim and hidden routing of low-voltage doorbell wire to an existing outlet. The motion sensing light/camera system replaced a floodlight over the garage. A bespoke camera mount with solar power was installed on a tree near the street for enhanced security and peace of mind.
The housing for the tree-mounted camera was custom designed and fabricated from maintenance-free PVC deck trim for this purpose.
A sit-stand desk was assembled, with an adjustable monitor mount & wire management system.
A bed & nightstand were assembled.
Baby's crib was assembled.
A toddler bed was assembled.
A family digital calendar with cable management.
3 framed family photos hung with perfect alignment, spacing, and leveling.
A new server rack was securely mounted to this home's basement cinder block wall to prepare for networking upgrades.
An outdated 1990's fan was replaced with a new, white fan, better matching the room's style.
A chandelier was replaced to update the room's style.
A new, more modern LED light fixture replaced an older style flush-mount globe light.
This homeowner's guest room light switches had been connected when her home was built such that the switch on the left controlled an outlet on the far right of the room. The control wiring was switched so that it ergonomically matched the room's layout, enhancing usability and ending frustration for future visitors!
Problem: Because of the use of pocket doors and a tight shower surround, there was no space for a bathroom light switch inside the bathroom, only a switch outside the bathroom in a hallway.
Solution Part 1: The left-side switch was replaced with a Lutron wireless 3-way light switch.
Solution Part 2: A zero-depth wireless light switch was installed onto the pocket door wall, making lighting controls accessible from within the bathroom (and a very happy homeowner!)
Performed multiple safe and secure baby gate installations, including on variable depth-surfaces with modifications needed.
Works to contain dogs, too! The family in the second set of images requested a custom, more permanent solution for a basement door gate. As shown in the third image, it was designed, constructed, and stained to match their full basement door, allowing their cat to reach the basement while not allowing the new puppy to get through. The custom gate was designed and installed with a cat-friendly flap door... much to the puppy's disappointment.
New handles were installed on dresser drawers.
A previous contractor had installed cabinets with misaligned handle hardware. Their poorly drilled holes were filled and refinished, and new holes were drilled in the correct locations, using the correct tool for the job.
A pass-between from the living room to the family room was framed, drywalled, and finished to convert the living room into an enclosed office space.
Siding was installed on an existing wooden shed to mitigate insect and weather damage.
Redrilled the latch bore hole in a new, properly aligned position to correct a misalignment that previously prevented the exterior door from latching. The door now closes and latches!
